Cleaning Instructions for FemiCushion:

Take apart the device by disassembling the components from each other. Then, follow the instructions below on how to clean each component.

The Supporter

  • Place the surface fastener tape back on the velcro strip located on the inside of the supporter at the crotch area.
  • Hand wash or machine wash in a laundry net on a gentle / delicate cycle
  • Hang dry. A dryer can also be used however, it may cause the supporter to shrink slightly.

The Holder

  • Hand wash or machine wash in a laundry net on a gentle / delicate cycle
  • Hang dry
  • Reminder: Disposable holders do not need to be cleaned and are disposed after one time use

The Cushion

  • Plug the air hole with the cleaning plug provided in the kit. The air hole is located on the underside of the cushion.
  • Use soap and warm water to wash off any residual fluids or discharge. It is recommended to use a mild non fragranced soap. 
  • Allow the cushion to air dry in a cool, dry, dark place on the cleaning plug. The cleaning plug also acts as a drying stand.

When to Replace FemiCushion Components:

With proper care, FemiCushion components should last for a very long time. However, with consistent use, components may start to wear down and need to be replaced for best results. Please follow the suggestions below on when to replace each component. 

Supporter:

  • Damaged, frayed, discolored
  • No longer a good fit (does not fit comfortably on the waist)
  • Unable to hold the holder and cushion securely in place.

Holder:

  • Damaged ,frayed, discolored
  • Unable to hold the cushion securely.

Cushions:

  • Damaged, deformed, discolored
  • Emits weird odor
  • Mold forming on the inside of the cushion.

Cleaning Plug:

  • Damaged or broken
  • Unable to plug the air hole at the bottom of the cushion for cleaning

Please note that replacement components are only available to customers who have previously purchase a FemiCushion kit. All components in the kit must be used together to provide effective prolapse relief.
